Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens
Date: 9/11/2011
Final Score: 7-35 Winner: Baltimore Ravens Description and Results This was the Steeler's first game of the 2011 season. The Baltimore Ravens started out the first quarter and their season strong by scoring fourteen points in the first quarter. Both touchdowns were scored by Ray Rice, the Raven's running back. During the second quarter, the Pittsburgh Steelers scored on a pass from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. That was the only time the Steelers scored throughout the entire game. The Ravens scored once more making the score 7-21 at halftime, and scored twice more during the second half, making the final score 7-35. Play and Player of the game In my opinion, the best play of the game was the 107 yards ran by Ray Rice, scoring twice in the beginning of the first half. I think he was the best player of the game, even though he was on the other team. Injuries: James Harrison bruised his knee cap in the fourth quarter. |
